Zilched - The Flood [Video]
There is an undeniable dose of The Cure in “The Flood,” you can even discover a hint of Robert Smith’s timbre in the vocals if you want. The Detroit-based singer/songwriter Chloe Drallos, aka Zilched, tapped into the darker side of life to get inspiration for this and the other tracks for her upcoming album Earthly Delights. She recalls:
“I wrote most of the song at Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit around the time it had been flooding in the city. Everything felt biblical and significant during that time, which informed the tone of nearly every song on the record.”
