Why Sun - Drift Dance

Danish three-piece Why Sun deliver with “Drift Dance” synth-pop at its best, evoking New Wave’s greatest, like DAF or New Order or more recent acts like Working Men’s Club. However, Why Sun are not basking in nostalgia but are carving out their very own, very danceable sound. Furthermore, the track is less dark than their previous singles but delights with a dreamy cloud of synths and vibrant beats. “Drift Dance” whets my appetite for Why Sun’s upcoming full-length album, due in May 2023, about which the band says:

“The forthcoming album unifies electronic dance grooves and punk mentality, pushing the boundaries of modern rock music.”
