Tragic Sasha - Plastic Chandeliers
Tragic Sasha’s newest song starts like you’d think one of her most popular singles, “Fishbowl,” might sound. At the beginning of “Plastic Chandeliers,” I feel like swimming in a fish tank, and the surreal feeling continues. She also mentions “the drop in the ocean,” so I’m not too off with that notion. Tragic Sasha is a crazy talented songwriter who manages to create catchy pop songs with substance that you want to listen to again and again. Can’t wait for an album!
Asked about the gist of "Plastic Chandeliers," this London-based songwriter, singer and producer says:
“I think being a musician, we live so much for the future rather than the present. I wrote 'Plastic Chandeliers' about that feeling- the idea that working in music requires a level of delusion. This song is about feeding that delusion to an unhealthy level because it feels more exciting than reality.”
That explains the woozy feeling, but a beautifully dizzy one! Listen to "Plastic Chandeliers," our Song Pick of the Day:
