Strange Flesh - Single / No Return
Mysterious bass lines, bright and inviting synths, a female voice reciting something, and before the voice turns to beautiful vocals, you’re already fully mesmerized by “Single / No Return.” The song marks the newest release by Brooklyn-based duo Strange Flesh. We’re excited to feature Varrick Zed (synths, vocals) and Ed Zed (synths, drums, vocals, various noises) again after their brilliant and far less mellow “Very.” “Single / No Return” marks the title track of Strange Flesh’s new EP, offering a cool variation on the track with dub textures as the title “Single / Dub Return” suggests, plus “Destructive Relaxation,” which also doesn’t over promise. Just listen! The duo says about their newest single:
“Inspired by the arid allure of deserts both hot and cold, the title track explores the desire for flight—from both the exterior world and from one- self—as well as the simultaneous lure and fear of self-exile.”
