Sophia Kaloustian - Used To Breathe

Los Angeles-based pop artist Sophia Kaloustian released the bright and beautiful "Used To Breathe," which, despite its pensive lyrics, comes with a sunny and hopeful vibe. With a clear intent, what she's singing about, Sophia says about "Used To Breathe:"

“This song doesn’t discuss the typical ‘I miss my ex and am heartbroken’ theme that most breakup songs focus on. What separates this song from the norm is that I’m missing the space these relationships used to take up in my life and how I’m trying to cope with the absence of such a significant presence…suddenly being gone.”

Being single for the first time since she was 14 years old, her relationships were a quintessential part of her adolescence. Sophia explains further:

“The act of being in love with someone…was so natural for so long, it was as if it was an essential normal bodily function that I didn’t even have to actively engage in, such as breathing.”
