SONG PICK: Vola Tila - Forget That I Love You

The new single by Vola Tila made me revisit the Swedish duo’s previous work and fall in love with their sound all over again. Their songs are beautifully melodic, blissfully dreamy with a silky smooth vibe. The just-released “Forget That I Love You” follows that captivating style.

While the lyrical content is on the sad side, “Forget That I Love You” manages nonetheless to lure the listener in thanks to its optimistic and bright sonic feel. When asked about their latest track, Vola Tila says:

“This song somehow reflects our thousands of questions about who you really are, and what really remains if you are forced to let go of all that? When we found the chorus, we could loop it for several days and just live in that nostalgic feeling. There is so much sadness in there, but also hope to be on the way.”
