SONG PICK: Operators - Despair
Casually listening to Apple radio this morning, “Faithless” stood out and I interrupted our breakfast-in-the-sun-conversation to check the band’s name: Operators. Not stopping there, I also found out that the analog heavy post-punk band is based in Montreal and formed by members of Wolf Parade and Divine Fits, to name just two bands who I’ve heard of before.
Name dropping has nothing on me but the music itself is important and so I found myself listening to Operator’s 2019 released album “Radiant Dawn” and ultimately selected “Despair” as our Song Pick of the Day as it is available on SoundCloud for everybody to enjoy! This is the type of sound I will never grow out to not fall for: pulsating beats, ultra-pleasing vocals, big synths backdrop and enough edgy elements to make the whole thing interesting.
