Simon Alexander - lemon trees
Sweden’s Simon Alexander creates beautiful folk songs with depth that you can dream to. Simons’ latest offering is a three-song EP Telefunken By Night Vol 1, which invites you to listen to from “sing” over “lemon trees” to “feast on my heart,” which comes with some really cool whistling and quite the Jeff Buckley vibe. I decided on “lemon trees” as our glamglarepick because I can never say ‘no’ to engaging guitar strumming and a lovely song title. In addition, Simon’s vocals might be at their most gorgeous on that track. Asked about “Telefunken By Night Vol 1,” Simon says:
“This EP is a first taste of my upcoming acoustic album, aptly named Telefunken by Night, which is coming later this year. The entire album has been made in my home and have come together piece by piece over the latest year. As a whole it tells an intimate journey, a deep-dive into my own thoughts and emotions during a long night of introspection, and the full story will unravel as all the sequent volumes are released.”
I look forward to enjoying the other installments whenever they’re ready! Listen to “lemon trees,” our Song Pick of the Day:
