RYD - Homesick
North London singer/songwriter RYD hasn’t released anything since 2021, but if “Homesick” is any indication, he’s back! The track delights with its catchy melancholy and RYD’s soft and enchanting vocals. Asked about a little context to the song, Ryan Downie (RYD) says:
“‘Homesick’ was written about expectations of being in your mid-late 20’s and how sometimes you wish you could just go home and not have any responsibilities. It’s also about the constant societal pressures to have your life in check before you’re 30 and how you’re ‘Only trying to become what I vowed I would be now.'”
