Robber Robber - Backup Plan
Robber Robber is an indie rock quartet from Burlington, Vermont. The band’s creative core, singer/guitarist Nina Cates and drummer Zack James, have been making music together for a long time, and we have seen them a few times live with their old band over the years.
They now announced their debut album Wild Guess with guitarist Will Krulak and bassist Carney Hemler for July 26th. The second single, „Backup Plan,“ showcases raw, energetic rock with an almost industrial touch – Speedy Ortiz comes to mind here:
Nina gives us some background about the song:
“I wrote ‘Backup Plan’ while I was helping a friend through a sticky relationship moment and was reflecting a lot on when it’s worth putting in the effort and when it’s best to call it. The song explores the feeling of unease that arises when you know there’s something unaddressed, yet you’re unsure if it’s worth stirring things up. I find this relevant in close friendships as well as relationships.”
