Rob Cunliffe - Again & Again
With the vibrant “Again & Again,” singer, songwriter, and producer Rob Cunliffe announces his upcoming debut EP For All the Right Reasons, out later this year. We first came across the Iowa-born and California-based musician through his project West Coast Weekend and are excited to find Rob still pursuing music, this time as a solo artist. Rob Cunliffe’s debut single, “Again & Again” is an elegant piece of indie-rock. The track starts out with a warm, groovy piano intro exuding quite the 70s vibe only to turn into something bolder and synth-heavy, bringing the message of undesired repetitiveness home.
Of course, I wanted to know more and asked Rob whether he’d be so kind as to provide some insights, and he explains:
“This song is inspired by toxic relationships everywhere, whether they were my own experiences or experiences I’ve watched people in my life go through. I know it can be enough to make you want to scream, hence the scream at the end of the bridge.”
Rob says further:
“I’m excited to release music that represents who I am, artistically speaking, so well. I’ve spent a good deal of time finding the sweet spot that feels like ‘me’ with regard to the production, and I’m really enjoying that. Solo work is new to me and it feels good to share it with the world.”
