Polly - Eyes on the Road
Danish pop singer/songwriter Polly delights with the bright and beautiful "Eyes on the Road." I am pretty sure we all had a moment like the one Polly describes yet not everybody creates a brilliant song or the likes. "Eyes on the Road" sparkles and gives me quite a romantic, slow-burning ABBA vibe. Ultimately, we cannot outrun our problems or whatever bugs us, but we need to face them; yet a little daydreaming is always a wonderful and helpful thing. Polly explains:
“I was in the middle of a huge heartbreak, completely devastated and consumed with sorrow, when I saw the movie, ‘Thelma & Louise’, one night. I remember I went to bed and got up the next day, overwhelmed by a strong, powerful energy and desire to just run away, without looking back, to escape from what once was and to be together with those who really matter to me."
Polly doesn't leave it by that and explains further:
“For me, road tripping has always been a very special, intimate space. ‘Eyes on the Road’ enters this space. It’s about having renewed faith in tomorrow and all the adventures that are waiting to be explored. It’s about friendship and how this particular space between two people can make everyday worries disappear while some of the most meaningful conversations happen.”
