Electronic music night at The Delancey! First on stage was Vigil. Wary of the “karaoke problem” that many electronic musicians face, he decided to ditch the laptop in favor of a vintage MPC, which he plays like a hand drum. Good choice – he achieved similar intimacy and intensity of an acoustic singer/songwriter performance. For one song he was joined by Ariah &, who found the perfect vocal timbre. More collaborations please! Listen to Vigils latest song here.

Spaces of Disappearance is the project of Chicago-based musician Elaine HD, who sets cool electronics to big vocals. She treated us with songs of her latest EP “There Is No Loss”.

Closing the night was Loveskills aka Richard Spitzer, who performed as a three-piece band. Lead by himself on the keyboard, Loveskills brought a wonderfully sophisticated vibe to The Delancey with their jazz-infused pop music.

Before and in-between the sets, DJ alice.km kept the party going. She also fronts the band Lantrns, who will play the glamglare showcase next Friday, March 10th 2017.
