Five Festival Questions for Letters to Nepal
It was summer 2014, when we saw Brooklyn-based indie-electronic duo Letters to Nepal for the very first time. Fast forward, we have seen the duo many more times because… they are phenomenal live!
Evgeniya Kuznetsova and Anton Fadeev truly put their souls not only into the beautiful music they create but also into their highly alluring performance. Anton is a total maven on Maschine, playing everything live and forgoing backing tracks. While Evgeniya always makes it seem so easy, effortlessly pulling different vocal registers, flirting with the Theremin and fascinating audiences through their alluring stage presence.
1 – Q: How would you describe your music/style in short? What can festival goers except from your show?
Experimental music. We are not trying to stick with a particular style. Today it’s indie-electronic, tomorrow maybe something totally different. Festival goers can expect positive vibes!
2 – Q: Which musical act are you most excited to see yourself at this year’s Northside Festival?
TANGINA STONE, UNI IKA AI, ZIEMBA, MEGA BOG, AMBER ARCADES and many others!
3 – Q: This being your first time performing at the festival, what would be the coolest thing you think could happen?
Meet a lot of new people! It is always a cool thing!
4 – Q: What is in store for you in the next six months?
Single release, EP release, official music video and a new tour!
5 – Q: What’s the question you wish we would be asking?
What are your songs and music about…?
Thank you Evgeniya and Anton. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!
