Moon Kissed - Do You Miss Me Yet?
It is hard to say where the NYC-based trio Moon Kissed wants to go with their music. Maybe they just want to have fun with it, and what comes out of that is very good: pop music that is neither chasing current nor past trends and sounds familiar without being retro. That fits well with the sentiment of their latest song, “Do You Miss Me Yes?” when singer Em Sgouros longs for a time that has irrevocably passed. The bassline reminds you of something? The band deliberately took inspiration from Grimes’ “Oblivion.”
