Marged - Sick

"I Am Not Sick," sings London-via-Cardiff singer/songwriter Marged over glitchy beats – she is alive and kicking and ready to drive changes. "Sick," her second single after a multi-year hiatus, is a shape-shifting song somewhere between pop and electronic. She announced no further music, but this track makes us hope for more.
Marged says:
I wrote this song during a time when I was reading Fariha Róisín’s book ‘Who Is Wellness For?’. I was thinking so much about what it means to be ‘well’, who gets to determine this for us, and asking how it is possible to ‘be individually well if we aren’t well collectively’. I thought about our responses of grief, depression, despair, resistance, and survivorship in this current moment and how these emotions/actions are gifts. I suppose I’m saying that they are a call to action, that we are not the ones who are sick, affirming that we are alive and reminding us to care for ourselves and each other.
