Maeve Steele - Lorena
In “Lorena,” the LA-based singer/songwriter Maeve Steele takes on the titular character from the 2012 song “Good Lord Lorrie” of the country band Turnpike Troubadours. Naturally Maeve takes a different perspective than the singer of the original, Evan Felker, who finds himself heartbroken in the end. Maeve explains:
“Her story was such a freeing one to write, as I found more and more pieces of myself as she took form. I am so excited to share this first glimpse of Honeyland with the world, as well as the ruminations on nostalgia and girlhood that came with it.”
