This song instills exciting summer memories of 2019 when we saw Liza Anne live at the Welcome Campers Festival while tie-dying t-shirts. The new music of the Nashville singer/songwriter has a vibe that would to carefreeness of that show: “Rainbow Sweater” is a tongue-in-cheek, upbeat take on finding yourself with a happy ending as Liza Anne reveals:

“Rainbow Sweater is a manifestation of possibility mapping out the ways I have tried to carve out a whole person for myself in the fragmented process of growing, trying out, stumbling through and working things out in real time in front of other people. I wrote this song, along with Cheerleader, when I was still closeted so the process of looking backwards to these lyrics has been really moving to hear myself subconsciously advocating for a deeper sense of embodiment before I felt ready to fully step into that in an outward space. The affirmation of looking backwards and realizing I’ve been leaving breadcrumbs of my own becoming all along is so comforting.”
