Lesibu Grand - Anarchy [Video]
Ready for a little time travel? Back to the late 70s in New York? “Anarchy,” the new single by Atlanta-based new wave/punk band Lesibu Grand, formed by singer Tyler-Simone Molton and bassist John Renaud, is less nostalgic than deliciously retro with a clear, futuristic spin. That vibe is also beautifully demonstrated in the vibrant Jetsons-themed video clip. The song serves as a going-against-the-grain anthem, complete with socio-political commentary on workers’ rights rebellion. With only 2 minutes and 50 seconds, “Anarchy” is decisively short yet all the sweeter! While the press release mentions Blondie as a sound reference, I’d add Kim Wilde’s “Kids of America” too because of the excitement, the let’s-make-it-happen energy in “Anarchy.”
The single also marks the first track being released from Lesibu Grand’s upcoming album Triggered, out August 16 via Kill Rock Stars.
