Léa Sen - Dragonfly ʚĭɞ [Video]
We couldn’t get enough of Léa Sen once we had listened to her brilliant debut EP You Of Now, Pt. 1, of which we had featured “I Feel Like I’m Blue.” Now, the London-based singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, and mixer follows up with the second part of this EP concept again via Partisan Records. Come April 21, Léa Sen will release You Of Now, Pt. 2, and the utterly gorgeous “Dragonfly ʚĭɞ” is the first taste from the follow-up. Asked about the single, Léa says:
“I spent a long time questioning the contradictions within myself. ‘Dragonfly ʚĭɞ’ is a byproduct of me being so fed up with myself and my indecisions and stuck in endless internal quarrels. The music video and artwork was directed by Constantine//Spence, they created these beautiful worlds that clash with each other. In the world of fire, I’m being followed by an entity, it represents that other side of me that I’m struggling so much to match with.”
In her upcoming second EP, Léa reflects on perfectionism and the freedom that comes with accepting vulnerability and imperfection. There’s a deep truth here and stark advice, as Léa explains:
“I want people to feel like they’re not crazy. We’re all going through it, and it doesn’t mean that you’re not worthy or you’re inadequate. And also maybe a reminder to myself.”
