Julian Taylor - Ain’t Life Strange
In addition to Julian Taylor‘s warm and enchanting vocals, what immediately got me in his new song “Ain’t Life Strange,” was the line: “Don’t you wish sometimes that time would stand still? Do you ever wish that time travel was real?” Indeed, I ask myself this question every now and then and don’t even know if I’d like to go far back, only a little bit, to see lost loved ones once more or even into the future. What’s your pick? Julian Taylor seems to know exactly where he’d like to time travel to when he says about “Ain’t Life Strange:”
“It explores the idea of going back in time or at least wanting to go back in time to fix things before they become too broken.”
Produced by Colin Linden (Emmylou Harris, Bruce Cockburn, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings), the track was inspired by longing, exuding feelings of sadness, regret, and nostalgia, and the soft instrumentation used brings out exactly that vibe!
