Johnny Lloyd - Manchester in Bloom

Last time I featured Johnny Lloyd, the North London composer, singer and songwriter, he released the beautiful "Joypolis." That was in 2021. Further back in 2019, I came across him for the very first time, thanks to the grandiose "Next Episode Starts In 15 Seconds." Now, Johnny Lloyd landed on my radar again with the beautifully mellow yet still poignant and punchy "Manchester in Bloom," a track from his upcoming fourth album. About the single release, Johnny says:

“'Manchester in Bloom' is a song about beginnings and ends in a relationship. It’s about trying to hold onto things that are slipping away.”

Johnny's new album Punchline is set for January 31st via Xtra Mile, and Johnny states about the album:

“If there was one album I've made to showcase my music I would want it to be this one. I started writing the album at the end of 2022 when the world was still transitioning out of the pandemic and I feel like that feeling is present in the music. I pushed as hard as I could creatively to go places I haven't previously been… I am very grateful for the amazing musicians who played on this album and to Max Clilverd for bringing it together.”
