Helen Ganya - Share Your Care

Family ties can be fragile, and the passing of a single loved one can sever the connection to a large part of your past. The Scottish-Thai singer/songwriter Helen Ganya wants to counter that experience with a sonic diary in the form of a new album, Share Your Care, out on February 7 via Bella Union. The title track is based on a childhood memory from Thailand and fuses synth-pop with traditional Thai instruments into a feast for the ears.
Helen recalls:
“I got my diary and wrote every single memory of my time as a child in Thailand, spending time with her, my grandad, my aunts and cousins and everything. I had these snapshots of memories that I just wrote down because I just suddenly panicked: it was like, who am I, then?”
