Giungla - Limited Edition
The Italian singer, songwriter, and producer Ema Drei, aka Giungla, combines rock guitars and electronic beats to stunning effect. Since 2016, she has been releasing a string of brilliant singles and EPs, but now it is finally time for her debut album, Distractions. The first single, “Limited Edition,” is a hard-hitting track about living in the moment.
“It’s quite unusual for me to find the lyrics already when I’m writing music, but with this song it happened instantly. The message behind it is quite simple: we’re here for a limited time so try to be kind to yourself and use your energy for what really matters.”
The album will be released this fall via Factory Flaws. Ema gives us an outlook:
“‘Limited Edition’ will be part of an album which I produced myself (which is something that took me a while to feel “good enough” at) and the whole record is deeply connected to the idea of reclaiming the imperfect and the temporary. It is about the never ending journey of trying to embrace your imperfections (and also all kinds of imperfections in life, in relationships, in what you do etc), but without taking yourself too seriously.”
