Fen Doi - New Horizon
“New Horizon” by Fen Doi is a lush, sweeping piece of synthpop that takes you under its wings and places little bubbles of happiness everywhere. Fen Doi is the project of producer, drummer, and vocalist Neil Lauper, at home in Zurich, Switzerland, and “New Horizon” marks the last single and title track from his just-released debut album New Horizon. Speaking about the album’s cover created with Zurich local illustrator and designer Frederik Bauer, Neil says:
“It depicts a dark, digital and somewhat polished room that entails a window or screen that almost feels like a portal, leading to the real world, where new beginnings are just one step away. The whole artwork has a museal vibe to it and is situated somewhere between the digital and the analog, or the electronic and the organic world.”
