Excited for these Daytime Events at SXSW2019

While finalizing our schedule for next week in Austin, we want to share some of our top picks and not to be missed events.

BRITISH MUSIC EMBASSY

If you are -like me- drawn to music being made in the UK, then this is the place to be! Centrally located with always a great sound and light system that makes the performing artists look extra shiny, often even with some free nibbles, Latitude 30 is one of Austin’s hot spots during SXSW.

Every day from Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 16

FLOODFEST

I remember when I was casually flipping through the beautiful FLOOD magazine, when suddenly a band started to play and the music was just so incredibly enticing and beautiful that the magazine was quickly forgotten and a spot in front of the stage taken. The band back then, two years ago, was HÆLOS (who play again this year!) yet I’ve seen many other fantastic acts throughout the years I am going to SXSW, so FLOODFEST is definitely on my list.

Tuesday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 13

THE Fender NEXT HOUSE

If not for the location then definitely for all that is being offered aside from great music during the two days of Fender’s SXSW2019 presence.

Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15

New Zealand at SXSW 2019 Official Party

While the Aussie BBQ is a long-standing staple during SXSW, New Zealand’s official day party seems to be the newer kid on the block. With a flyer as pretty as this one and a lineup as compelling as on said flyer plus some complementary drinks thrown in, we’re sold!

Thursday, March 14

ADIM SHOWCASE

You can expect more than “just” music from the Alternate Dimension Showcase, curated and hosted by executive producers Maria Brodskaya aka åMBe and Brian Forbes. Aside from diverse live music performances, the event features also:

“visual artist and art gallery owner Carrie Able, an art exhibition by Ukrainian artist Kateryna Kulyzhka and a music business lecture focused on international and immigrant artists by Walter J. Tucker, a college professor & the founder of LiveThe.Biz, America’s leading music industry education organization.”

Saturday, March 16

DRINK OUTSIDE THE BOX AT MOD BIKES

For a bit of a change of pace, I’ll head over the bridge to mingle with fellow music lovers and industry people, while sipping a drink and listening to music.
