Ela Minus - Combat [Video]

It has been a while since we heard new music from Colombian, Brooklyn-based singer and producer Ela Minus. Aside from a one-off collaboration in 2022, her brilliant debut album acts of rebellion was her last release four years ago.

Her new song “Combat” hints that she has changed musically since 2020. Much less punk and more ethereal, she used recordings of wind instruments to create deep textures. The track eschews drums and percussion but has no lack of suspense and drama.

Ela shares more insight about the track in her newsletter For The Birds. There, she also states: “COMBAT is probably my favorite song I’ve ever made.”
