Divine Sweater - A Time For Everything
Good band names are harder and harder to come by, with so many cool ones already taken, and I should not let my dislike for a particular hit song or band stop me from exploring a new band. That's why I gave Divine Sweater 15 minutes of my time and not only listened to the title song of the album A Time For Everything released today but checked out a few more songs, too. Well, that is rather close to divine, kudos! This is very dreamy, chill pop, and perfect for relaxing and daydreaming a bit.
The band says about the title track and the idea of the album:
“'A Time for Everything'” is a passage commonly read at funerals. It reminds mourners that death is both an inevitable tragedy and a powerful catalyst for transformation. The song is set in that delusional mid-funeral haze when you can’t quite wrap your head around the reality and finality of death. It reimagines the spectacle of the funeral as an elaborate, illusive magic show. 'A Time for Everything' interrogates grief, reframing loss as a catapult toward self-actualization. It urges listeners to change their lives before it’s too late, to 'burn it down and start all over.''
