The release of her debut EP “Overripe” marks for MC Hentz aka dalloway the fulfillment of a dream after a long struggle against the odds of a conservative, ignorant environment. In the latest single, “maura,” she refers to the true story of another girl who met a different fate out of a similar situation: she disappeared without a trace. Like in “How To Keep A Secret,” she balances the gravity of the lyrics with an upbeat, elegant pop production. After all, her life story is an encouraging and inspiring one.
