Cornelia Murr - Skylight
When I first listened to "Skylight" by Cornelia Murr I couldn't wait to share her new single, and started this blog post right away. However, the last single by the London-born, NY-based singer-songwriter was still rotating in our latest 50 #glamglarepicks playlist and, hence, not yet eligible. (Yep, we have our own little glamgare rules.) Now, though, "Pushing East" dropped out of the playlist and made room for "Skylight." Yeah! I love the song's calm and steady beat, which is softly pushing forward. The gorgeous video, filmed in the Hudson Valley (whose landscape I adore) and directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick, captures the spirit of the song beautifully.
Cornelia Murr's album Run to the Center comes out on February 28th, and she plays two sold-out shows at Union Pool around that date. I'll be barely back from vacation at that time because otherwise, I'd be rather bummed to miss this occasion. If you snatched tickets, be happy because you'll be in for a treat.
