Dreamy indie-pop singer/songwriter Cornelia Murr enchants with the tender and utterly gorgeous "Pushing East." The gentle sound reminds me of the soothing vibe of Tamara Lindeman (The Weather Station), and couldn't be happier to have learned about Cornelia Murr! With "Pushing East," the Los Angeles-based artist also announces her upcoming album Run to the Center, out February 28, 2025. To celebrate the occasion, she booked two shows at Brooklyn's Union Pool, and I am looking forward to the second one w/ HNRY FLWR. She will also play two shows at L.A.'s Gold Digger in March. Asked about the track, Cornelia says:

"'Pushing East' is a breakup song, to be played ideally loud in the car in the fresh moment of irrevocable change. It speaks to aspects of relationship between musicians, when collaboration often takes place and leaves a creative product, and how an experience of one’s music differs completely from experiencing a relationship with that person. It’s a wish for future peace and liberation, too.”
