Christopher Reyne - More Than This

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Christopher Reyne emerged again from a decade-long hiatus and released last month the introspect “Orbit” and follows it up with the beautifully pensive “More Than This.” Christopher draws inspiration from folk, guitar fingerpicking, and strong storytelling and adds a touch of The Decemberists and Death Cab for Cutie to his sound. Lyrically, “More Than This” deals with the serious implications social media usage can have and is perfectly summarized in the following lyric piece:

We’re all searching for ourselves // Through the lens of someone else // Too distracted to even tell

Christopher played all the instruments on “More Than This” himself, with the exception of the strings, which are performed and recorded by Cynthia Tolson. “More Than This” is a fascinating and instantly irresistible track, and I can’t wait for more new songs to come!
