C Duncan - Think About It
The sweeping violins, piano, and 70s synths-vibes in "Think About It" create a super lush feel, changing any mood from "meh" to "yeah!" "Think About It," is the new single by C Duncan, and it is glorious. It is also part of his fifth studio album, It’s Only a Love Song, due January 24, which holds more of the nostalgic-tinged awesomeness. Hailing from Glasgow, the singer/songwriter is classically trained and plays various musical instruments. The 'C' stands for 'Chris,' and he says about the music he adores:
"I love the idea of something being so romantic that it almost hurts.”
Not only do I love "Think About It," but also C Duncan's intent, as he explains:
“'Think About It' is about overthinking things - which we all do. I can be quite indecisive at times, and this song’s about wanting to make the right decisions, taking too much time deliberating and ultimately missing out. It’s sometimes better to go with the flow rather than let decisions hold you back. "
About his album, out via Bella Union, the artist says:
“I’ve been wanting to do a record that is unashamedly romantic and slightly old-timey. Quite a lot of my stuff has a hint of that, but this one is more kind of 1970s, with the string arrangements and a sort of warmth sprinkled on top. And whereas Alluvium had the space to meander off into its own areas, with this one I thought more about pace and how each song could go into the next one. There is more of a theme – it’s a highly romantic record, which then goes from that into dealing with the loss of friends and relatives.”
