BAYEM - Wreck

The instantly catchy and super gorgeous "Wreck" marks the first track on BAYEM's five-track EP TAPE 3, and it provides a beautiful taste of the Indianapolis-based pop singer/songwriter's sound. BAYEM's vocals are warm and bright, holding the soulful, jazz-tinged "Wreck" together. I am excited to have learned about BAYEM because TAPE 3 is the perfect sound to start the new year with.

Reflecting on "Wreck," BAYEM says:

“‘Wreck’ came at a very interesting moment in my life. Finding myself in a healthy and stable relationship was both exciting and intimidating. When you’ve gotten used to rollercoaster-style relationships, there’s really an adjustment period after entering into a positive feedback loop. The song was a way for me to channel that energy and be succinct in how I felt about it."
