Ayisa - Hallucination
This looks too good. Is this even true? But LA pop singer Ayisa wants you to go for it because great things don’t have to be a “Hallucination.” The disco-tinged track is from her new 6-track EP Pink Diamond, out now.
The song was a spontaneous inspiration, as Ayisa recalls:
“I was inspired by 70s, 80s, and disco music and how to adapt it for today. While working with my producer (Curt Martin) to write this song, I felt a mental block and didn’t know what to write, or what to say. I was a little burnt out because we were working back-to-back late-hour sessions. While lying on the couch, staring at the ceiling, praying for words to come to me, off the top of my head, I just wrote the first lyric, “Hey,” into my notes and the rest of the words just spilled out one after the other to make up the rest. The concept of hallucination stems from wanting to be bold, seeing what you want, and going after it. Sometimes amazing things happen in our lives, but they just seem too good to be true, and we don’t want to believe that it is anything more than a hallucination, when in fact it isn’t, and we should accept and know we deserve amazing things!”
