Adult Leisure - Dancing Don’t Feel Right

Friday afternoon, and I don't want to stop listening to "Dancing Don’t Feel Right," the brand new single by Bristol's alt-rockers Adult Leisure. This is indie– rock with irresistible pop-influences at its finest! Last time we featured the four-piece was in mid November with their single Kiss Me Like You Miss Her. This seems so long ago, with the world still being a different one - at least from my perspective. The more I am drawn to escapist tracks like "Dancing Don’t Feel Right," although I'll do without "doing the bad thing," yet take the indulgence.

The band says about the lyrical inspiratio for "Dancing Don’t Feel Right:"

“We wanted to create a track that asks listeners to step out of line, ditch their inhibitions, and give in to the temptation of doing exactly what they shouldn’t. It’s a narrative of inner conflict, desire and rebellion. The track captures the feeling of being on the edge: stuck in a moment where you know you should hold back, but something - or someone - won’t let you. ‘Dancing Don’t Feel Right’ is our way of ignoring responsibility, silencing the voice of reason, and giving in to the forbidden thrill of indulgence. The song is about the urge to let loose, to break out of the mould and do the bad thing.”
