“Sign Here” by Canadian synth-pop duo Doohickey Cubicle starts out as any lovely dream-pop piece would begin, with hazy guitars, catchy rhythms, and airy vocals. However, the track takes an unexpected turn when the jazzy saxophone and other wind instruments chime in, never dominant but beautifully adding to the blissful vibe. Dreamlike perfection!
Behind the rather quirky band name are singer/keyboardist Alli Deleo and guitar/synths player Francis Hooper who together make music as Doohickey Cubicle. The single is taken from their upcoming debut LP “Don’t Fix Anything,” scheduled for March 12, 2021.
