SONG PICK: Jolé – Alpine Green
London-based singer/songwriter Joshua Oliver, who makes music as Jolé has just released the utterly gorgeous new single “Alpine Green”. The track is a touch melancholic yet soothing with a lovely promise. Alone the mention of the color “green” automatically elevates the mood and hailing from the Alps myself, a pretty picture forms in my mind. The super pleasing vocals and fantastic guitar picking plus the lovely electronic touches build a song to let the soul relax and recharge.
“I wrote this song whilst being really home sick. The narrative is about experiencing something beautiful or uplifting that you wish you could share with someone that can’t be there. It’s about feeling grateful in the moment but wanting someone you love to experience it with you also. However, in not being with that person, holding them in your thoughts or in your memory can sometimes be good enough.”
