VIDEO FRIDAY: Georgia – Never Let You Go
The first thing I heard this morning was “Never Let You Go”, Georgia‘s new and absolutely fantastic single. How is this London-based singer/songwriter and superb drummer coming up with one infectious pop pearl after the other? (Remember “About Work The Dancefloor” and “Started Out?”) Georgia’s sound is edgy enough to stand out yet also ticks off many of the criteria you want from a great single like instant catchiness, pleasing flow, lovely vocals and danceability. Add magnificent visuals to the mix and then you have it, the video for “Never Let You Go”, focusing on Georgia and the breathtaking landscape she is in. Definitely a music video to watch over and over again. Great idea, beautifully brought to life by director Joe Connor and exec producer Alexa Haywood.
As beautiful as the video is, Georgia also manages to captivate live which we know since we have first seen her in 2016 and last at this year’s SXSW. Currently, Georgia performs at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany, goes on tour all throughout October/November, will make a stop in Brooklyn (go see her at Elsewhere!) before she heads over to Iceland Airwaves (where we hope to see her… again).
