SONG PICK: Moon Panda – On The Attack
Have you ever been in a long distance relationship? Or are you currently in one? Those of us who experience(d) this special type of romance, might be inclined to admire Californian songwriter/bassist Maddy Myers and Danish guitarist Gustav Moltke who together form the band Moon Panda. The duo released the super cool single “On The Attack”, which announces their upcoming debut EP “Pastel Pools”. When asked about the track, Myers provides:
“Going back and forth between self reliance and feeling like an unattached wild animal, chasing affection and adoration. Waiting for a text back, a call, some proof that I’m missed. Hopefully, it outlines that chaos that can happen inside you when you just want that warmth and acceptance.”
In its gorgeous and understated coolness “On The Attack” reminds me faintly of one of PJ Harvey’s biggest hits (“Down By The Water”) and I can not get enough of it! Listen to “On The Attack”, our Song Pick of the Day:
