SONG PICK: The Hails – Sugar
With the song I identified as today’s #songpick, I found myself on Manhattan’s Lower East Side walking the lesser known and crowded side streets, listening to “Sugar” on repeat and loving it to pieces!
I tried hard to evoke the feelings I had when I first walked these streets in 1996, especially since Miami-based The Hails create music with a nostalgic feel. While I get the sweet vibe, I also find “Sugar” extremely grounded in the here and now with its powerful digital beats and the simply super awesome vocals!
