SONG PREMIERE: Laurent Bourque – Thinking of You
We are excited to premiere “Thinking of You”, the new single by Canadian indie-pop singer/songwriter Laurent Bourque. The track marks the second single from his upcoming album “Blue hour”, out early next year.
“Thinking of You” could be the love child of two great singer/songwriter legends: I am thinking of the subtly intense drive of Tom Petty paired with the beautiful laid-backness of George Harrison. Contradictions much? Maybe, but that only adds to the charm, in addition to Bourque’s appealingly mellow vocals and sweeping guitars, enveloping us in a calming groove.
When asked about the track, Bourque provides:
“It’s a song about daydreaming about a past relationship. It’s about those little vignettes in time we reminisce about when we’re busy doing something else. That instinct we all have to reach to someone
we’re thinking about… yet we always hold back due to being scared of seeming vulnerable.”
This is one of the songs I wish would not come to an end because the bubble of comfort and calm is just too precious and welcomed in an all too hectic time. Listen to the gorgeous “Thinking Of You”, our Song Premiere:
