SONG PICK: Mesita - Deadchannel

A couple of days ago, I heard “Deadchannel” on the radio and knew instantly that I wanted to feature the beautifully brooding track. “Deadchannel” is the newest single by singer/songwriter and producer James Cooley who makes music under the moniker Mesita. Despite its sinister title, “Deadchannel” offers a surprisingly bright melody, with layered booming, fuzzy guitars and an overall airy vibe which makes Thom Yorke come to mind. Mesita is about to release a new album due in March, 2019.
