The artist says the following about his song:
“I wrote ‘Real Estate’ on one of my first drives from New Jersey to California. I was at a rest stop in Texas, and looked at my winter attire and realized I would be needing less of it from that point on. This song is the personification of moving; moving to a place where you don’t [know] what’s going to happen, and moving from a place where you don’t know how much is going to be there if you come back.”
It also seems as if New Jersey-native Adam Melchor had to move away, in order to find the attention and recognition he and his music deserve.
