PHOTOS: The Hum Presents: An Evening with Vérité feat. Little Kruta
On August 28th The Hum presented a special, unforgettable evening at Brooklyn’s beautiful, high-quality venue National Sawdust: String orchestra Little Kruta joined Brooklyn-based independant pop star Verité for a one-time event.
After being treated to some classical pieces by the women of Little Kruta, Verité came on stage to perform semi-acoustic versions of her songs. Pop music and acoustic string ensembles have always worked well together, yet by adding drums and some electronics, it felt more like a presentation of a more luxurious, expensive version of Verité’s original music than an acoustic experiment.
At some point Verité remarked that as an independent artist she often lacks the means to stage such grand affairs. Kudos to the New York artist community to make it happen nonetheless. This was absolutely amazing!
