“Smooth Sailing” is the perfect name for the single and new album by New York singer/songwriter Julietta, not only because it puts the right images in your mind for the season, but also for the music that hits the perfect mix between chill and party vibes. Think pre-sunset at the beach when you are not yet ready to go, but also feel excited about the night to come. Under the surface, though, Julietta’s songs are not as easy-going, but about coping with adverse situations in life. She gives some background:
No matter what all the hardships and struggles may be now or have been then, there is always going to be light at the end of the tunnel. Everything will be okay 🙂 I have felt deep pain, struggled with addictions, and every day learning how to love myself, but at the end I always make it out to some sort of happy place. It’s never too late, and it’s never over!
