SONG PREMIERE: Simon XO - My Love

Singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Simon XO, originally from San Diego, now Los Angeles-based, creates his own version of electro-pop by combining explorative synths, tape loops, electric guitars, sampled drums and at times aggressive vocals. With “My Love” Simon XO makes best use of his skills and produces something very special and highly needed. Not only is Simon XO positive in his approach, because bashing would be so much easier, he also developed an incredibly catchy track charged with activism and anthemic power.

Simon explains his intentions with “My Love” as follows:

“I think at this point, everyone is just exhausted with the president. There is so much news—most of it bad—that your senses overload. But the worst time to stop fighting is now. With midterms around the corner, we have the opportunity to demonstrate our anger meaningfully. And ‘My Love’ is my attempt to explain my anger in the unifying way it’s intended.”
