SONG PICK: Flawes – This Could Be Real
London via Yorkshire alt pop rockers FLAWES got my attention early last year already, when I featured them in our #3IsABand series. Now they have released their new single “This Could Be Real” which is impossible not make it our Song Pick of the Day. “This Could Be Real” sports an instantly catchy melody, bright and beautiful synths- and guitar lines and Josh Carruthers‘ expressive, ultra-gorgeous vocals.
Asked about the song, the frontman who goes by ‘JC’, reveals:
“This Could Be Real is definitely our most honest song to date. It also brings out our more up tempo side not previously heard before. The song is based at the start of a relationship that was unexpected and unplanned. It goes through the thoughts and realisation that it is something special worth fighting for: Give me a chance to show you how I feel, it’s easy to see I know this could be real”.
