Mondo.NYC Day Three Roundup: Dimpker Brothers, Adée, Late Guest to the Party, Mt. Wolf, Sleep Thieves, Letters To Nepal
For Friday, the Lower East Side was again packed with excellent music and we would have needed to divide ourselves into pieces to see everybody we would have liked to. But then we stayed mostly at The Delancey, our unofficial home base where most of our own showcases take place. The international lineup with six acts was excellent and four of them have already been features in our Song Pick of the Day series. Mt. Wolf were stunning as always with their folk electronic crossover and Letters To Nepal presented for the first time a new stage set-up – to great effect. The thumping dance beats of Late Guest to the Party definitely get any party started and Sorcha Brennan’s bewitched performance with Sleep Thieves has staying power.
