SONG PICK: Climbing Trees – Fall
Listening to “Fall”, the new single by Welsh four-piece Climbing Trees, it is not surprising to learn that the quartet has gained a lot of attention on their home turf, from radio to TV to festivals. “Fall” starts out on a mellow note and swells, gets bigger and bolder and culminates in a massive climax. The band has even coined their very own term of the type of music they create, calling it “Cymrucana”:
“A nod to both the Cool Cymru explosion of the 1990s and the ever-popular folk-rock genre Americana” (more here).
